Once uncommon on our property but now well established in woodland and garden areas.
Widespread understory plant with deep green waxy leaves. A root parasite ie it is found next to another 'host' tree although the relationship appears to beneficial. Much visited by birds (e.g. Figbirds, Orioles, Koels, Trillers) to feed on the abundant fruit and before dispersing seeds.
