According to eriss notes (https://www.environment.gov.au/system/files/resources/73bf9bdd-fcf0-4665...) this species is also called the Black and White Tiger and prefers coastal wetlands including estuaries and along brackish creeks and mangrove swamps associated with larval food plants. It's a member of the milkweed butterfly family.
