Scientific Name: 

Syzygium Armstrongii

Description: moderate to large evergreen tree 12-20m high with dense foliage and full crown.  Bark tight, smooth to slightly rough, mottled cream-grey.

Flowers: white with numerous stamens, about 1-1.5cm long carried in dense terminal branching panicles about 5-7cm across. 

Fruit: Flattened-globular, fleshy, wider than long, about 1.5 x 1.5-2cm, spongy wrinkled flesh containing many oil glands, white when ripe, single seeded.

Flowering: September - December.

Fruiting: December - February.
