This weed monitoring tool was part of some literature we picked up in 2010.  It is for the serious 'weedkiller' and a great example of our country's ability to generate paperwork in any sphere of life.

 While we suggest you don't need quite as much detail, the general principal is scalable - keep a record of what you do, where and when you do it.  Each sheet is for a single invasive species, so its good for situations where you have dense monocultures (eg paddocks of mission grass).  But once you get on top of things and start having to be more selective, you could use a broader form of record keeping.
